Blogmas Day 19: Stocking Fillers

Hey guys and welcome to Blogmas day 19

In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing with you my stocking filler gift guide. Everything listed here is under £20 and I’ve tried to include gifts that are suitable for men and women so I hope you find something that sounds good to you. I’ve also included links below for the majority of stuff I’ve mentioned as well.

But before I get into the nitty gritty of the post I thought I’d very quickly mention some of the stocking filler staples that appear every year in my house. They’re so simple but they scream Christmas to me. Basically, every year, in the bottom of everyone’s stocking goes a clementine, some chocolate money and handful of Cadbury’s Roses. For me, it just wouldn’t be a Christmas stocking if it didn’t have these three things in it. Do let me know in the comments as well what sort of things always go in the Christmas stockings in your house. I always love to hear about everyone’s’ Christmas traditions. Now with that said let’s get stuck in.

Biscuiteers Jolly Ginger

I only discovered the Biscuiteers last year but I absolutely love them. The quality of their produce, their packaging, there isn’t one thing I don’t love about them. Not only do they make biscuits but they also make cakes, chocolates and they have something for every occasion. But my favourite discovery from their range has got to be the Jolly Ginger; a very festive and very adorable gingerbread man who comes decorated as one of your favourite festive friends such as Santa, an elf and many more.

Plus, each gingerbread man comes wrapped in pink paper in a beautiful Biscuiteers gift box. What I like to do is get one for every member of the family, each sporting a different festive look, and pop one into everyone’s stocking. I just think it’s such a cute touch and it’s so nice to sit down to with a cup of tea in the evening after all the hustle and bustle of the big day.

Lush gift set

Now if you follow me on Twitter you will already know that I am a huge Lush fan. I have yet to try a Lush product that I haven’t like and they do some really beautiful, reasonably priced gift sets. Each set includes different products and scents so there really is something for everyone. Plus an extra bonus of the Lush gift sets- they come pre-wrapped. So if you suck at wrapping or you think you’re going to be pushed for time over the holiday season, (which, let’s face it, most of us are), this makes a Lush set a great option.

They’re also ideal if you have Secret Santa to do at work or if you’re buying for someone you don’t know particularly well, like one of the in laws. At the end of the day everyone has to wash, so why not help them have a really magical bath or shower over the festive season.

Gourmet marshmallow selection box by the Naked Marshmallow Company

I have to say if you were to put supermarket marshmallows in front of me you would probably get a bit of a, “Meh,” response. But put marshmallows by the Naked Marshmallow company in front of me and I will be a very happy bunny. These marshmallows are unlike any other. They are so light and they taste incredible. If you’re thinking of buying some this year, my favourites are the vanilla and chocolate orange marshmallows. They’re just so good.

But this year at Naked Marshmallow they’ve done something really cool; they’ve brought out a gourmet marshmallow selection box. Perfect for anyone who wants something light and sweet over the holidays but isn’t a massive fan of chocolate AND you can add a little burner to the product as well so you could get the family toasting marshmallows on Christmas night. How cool would that be?

Charity donation

For me, this is one of my favourite stocking filler ideas. Nowadays, some charities will allow you to make a donation on behalf of someone else and will provide you with a certificate or a thank you letter for it. So why not find out if the person whose stocking you’re trying to fill supports any particular charity or cause, make a donation on their behalf and pop the certificate into their stocking. I just think this is such a touching thing to do. It shows the person you’re making the donation for that you care about what they care about and it means giving something back to those less fortunate over the holidays too.

Cheerz box classic

I want to say up font that I haven’t used Cheerz before. I came across their name in a Youtube video, checked out their website and thought they did some really lovely stuff. Basically, you can upload your pictures straight from your phone or your social media accounts and have them turned into hardcopy photographs, magnets, a canvas and much more.

With the classic box, you get 30-47 prints in a beautiful solid case. So why not find some beautiful snaps of you and your loved ones and have the good people at Cheerz turn them into a box of memories that’ll fit nicely into someone’s stocking this Christmas.

Coffee table books

Now I have to make a confession. In my house, everything always has to be in its proper place. It’s something I am a little bit mental about I have to be honest but I’m a great believer in that saying, “Tidy room, tidy mind.” But it’s more than that I suppose. A tidy home is a welcoming home. No one likes to get in from work, walk into their living room and discover the place looks like a bomb’s hit it. So I always try to have things in my living environment in order, not just for me, but because you just don’t know when guests are going to turn up-though in my experience it’s usually at the most inconvenient time.

So why not having something sitting out on the coffee table that they can flick through while you hide away in the kitchen panicking because you’re completely out of tea bags. A couple of my favourite coffee table books include Destinations of a Lifetime by National Geographic or A poem for every Night of the Year, as edited by Allie Esiri. These particular books are great for the keen traveller, the poetry lover, the hostess with the mostess or just the person who takes a lot of pride in their home.

I have to say I have a real fondness for coffee table books so if there are others you’d recommend let me know in the comments box below.

Flavoured tea

Speaking of tea bags, and this may sound like a weird one, but I think flavoured teas can be a really lovely idea for a stocking filler. Two that I’m loving at the moment are Bird and Blend’s The Digester tea- it’s slightly spicy so perfect for this time of year and, as the name suggests, is really beneficial to those with digestive problems such as sensitive stomach or IBS. I’m also loving their strawberry lemonade tea. It really does taste like berries and it feels like it really would warm the soul. Highly recommend.

Travel mug & Mug warmer

Now if you are like me and you work in an office environment, you will know there are two major issues with trying to get a quality cuppa at work. First, there’s the finding a mug part and second, actually remembering to drink the stuff before it goes stone cold. Fortunately however, I have come up with a solution to both of these problems. First, invest in a travel mug. I’d recommend going for a screw top one to minimise the chances of any leakage. They’re super handy to have and they will save you a small fortune because you won’t need to go for that daily takeaway coffee anymore. Next thing you want to pick up is a mug warmer. These are basically little coasters that plug into your computer’s USB port and they keep your coffee mug warm. I think it’s genius. I haven’t included links to these two things as there are so many variations of them but you can easily pick up both for under £20 at Amazon. So if you know someone who has a desk job, these are a great option for their stocking.

Ann Summers Hard Drive Bullet

Now if you are buying for your partner this holiday season, why not be a little cheeky and slip a little sexy toy into their stocking? The bullet vibe has been around for a long time. Loved by novices and adventurers alike, this little gadget is powerful, discreet and will certainly put the buzz back into any bedroom.

Remember to mindful of your audience though. Who’s going to be there when this bad boy gets pulled out of the stocking? What are you going to say if you have parents or kids asking what it is? I always go for massager-it’s a safe bet that usually avoids further question.

White Company Winter Signature Candle

I love scented candles. They really make a house a home and White Company truly does some beautiful ones and their winter scent is divine. Warm and spicy, it epitomises Christmas. However, I have to admit, White Company is not cheap. If you’re after more for your money candle wise, I highly recommend the Yankee Candle shop. They also do some beautiful stuff.

Anthrapologie Seashell Measuring spoon set

Buying for a budding baker? Then this little spoon set could be a really good idea. It is so handy to have things like this in the kitchen and you could very easily leave this sitting out for decoration too. A very small but thoughtful and useful gift.

Grow your own Christmas tree set

If you’re looking for something inexpensive to stick in a stocking that still pays a fitting tribute to Christmas, this could be a really good idea. It’s a little set that offers everything you need to grow your own Christmas tree. I have to say I think this is a lovely idea, (I feel like I’ve said that about a lot of these thing), but I do. Can you imagine giving this to someone and having them grow a massive Christmas tree from it? I think if you know someone who is crazy for Christmas, a bit like myself, this could be a really lovely gesture.

Harry Potter House Crest Charm

We all know someone who loves Harry Potter so why not buy them their very own house charm. Get them onto Pottermore at and have them get sorted into their house. Once you know what it is, buy the corresponding charm for a necklace or bracelet of theirs. If they don’t have one, you can pick up a little chain relatively inexpensively.

Just out of curiosity, what Hogwarts house do you guys belong to? I’m a Hufflepuff myself. Let me know your house down in the comments.

So there you have it guys; my 2018 guide to stocking fillers. I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know down in the comments what you thought. Like, follow, all that lovely stuff and I’ll see you again soon.
